Sunday Worship

We celebrate the Holy Eucharist (Lord's Supper) each Sunday, warmly welcoming guests of all ages, sharing God’s peace with genuine concern and affection for one another, and responding to the liturgy with energy and thoughtful consideration.

At the 8 a.m. service on Sundays, we generally worship using Rite I ('thee' and 'thou') from the Book of Common Prayer in a spoken service.

At our Sunday 10:30 a.m. choral services, we generally use a contemporary language service from the Book of Common Prayer, occasionally using A New Zealand Prayer Book  or another authorized service.

In the summer months, we have one Eucharist service each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The summer schedule for 2017 is from Sunday June 11 through Sunday, August 20. We will alternate Rite I and Rite II services.

Saint Alban’s is known for its wonderful organ and choral music. The classic hymns and anthems of the Anglican tradition are occasionally mixed with more modern music. Our choir is a volunteer choir, ably led by Veronica Tomanek, Principal Parish Musician. See our Music section for additional information and  an explanation of how music is chosen for our scheduled services.

Coffee Hour and Christian Education for young people and adults takes place between the Sunday services. There is also a Coffee Hour following the later service, with a soup and bread lunch served during Advent and Lent.

Additional services, observances and Christian formation are offered throughout the year. Check our calendar for more information.
